Zagazig

Written and Directed by Esther Dougherty

Zagazig is a gory and dreamlike wandering through a nighttime “Brisbane”.

Honey has a weird night working at the club, and is struck by sickly fate. On a midnight quest to force a woman to be her mother, Honey is sucked into a cosmic fabric that tickles her, but that she can't understand. She quits her job, her housemates die, her disguises look shit, and for what? As greater and greater forces dip their toes in her mouth, Honey is manipulated past the point of no return and spirals down beneath the hallucinated city she was born in.  She gets tossed in the river all the same.
